(My) Art & Sole Mission

Art & Sole is committed to improving the quality of life for our customers, through comfortable footwear. That is the mission of my store and something I became accustom to seeing growing up in my Dad's shops; a customer comes in with foot trouble which is making them miserable, we determine and sell the best shoe we can to that customer. We see them 2 weeks later and they are so happy and comfortable in their new shoes. This made a big impression on me and I have never lost the passion I have for helping people in this way. It's a small thing and I don't kid myself about the relative importance of my job compared to other professions, but when you have sore feet and your body is hurting because of it, I am here to say "you do not have to suffer"!

As far as shoe repair goes... the number of repair shops in Portland is steadily dropping (just like the rest of the world) and it is sad to see but that is just the reality of our times. I am willing to do minor repairs; sewing, shines, stretching, some heels, and the occasional Birkenstock. My focus is primarily on selling new shoes (Dansko, Sanita, Red Wing, WORX, Robeez and CROCS) that are comfortable and durable. If you need custom repair work, new zippers, resoling and the like you can get in touch with me and I can probably refer you to someone qualified.

To learn more about my store please click here to visit our website and by all means come into the shop. We are open Tuesday - Friday 10-6 and Saturday 12-5. We are located at 6517 N. Interstate at Rosa Parks Blvd. Call 5o3-285-SHOE or toll-free 877-285-SHOE. http://www.ARTnSOLE.net

Marty,
I want to thank you for selling me several pairs shoes, including Dansko sandals, Sanita clogs, Dansko clogs, boots and dress shoes. I went to the podiatrist this week because of my foot problems and took all of my shoes with me. He said he was glad to see that I am wearing such good shoes. However, x-rays proved to little too late. I have severe bone spurs in both feet. He gave me many suggestions to help the pain. Marty, I want to tell you to please continue to sell the amazing shoes you do to help people like me who have damaged their feet (in my case 40+ years) and need your expertise and product in order to "walk" for the next 40+ years.
